A new Quinnipiac poll shows Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) with a 45% approval rating, his lowest score ever.
Quinnipiac pollster Douglas Schwartz states: "Sen. Lieberman's approval rating has dropped below 50 percent for the first time in 14 years of polling, with nearly two-thirds of Democrats giving him low marks, probably because he is campaigning for Sen. John McCain."

Dick Morris Rules!
Sat Jun 28, 2008 at 10:10:34 AM PDT
This is the first time in my life that I have ever agreed with the often contemptuous Dick Morris. So, just this one time, Dick Morris gets my respect. It's scary! Read down to the bottom highlighted portion of Morris' editorial for the reason that Bush is doing this. It's not at all shocking!
Why is Bush Entertaining Abu Dhabi Crown Prince?
A Commentary By Dick Morris
Saturday, June 28, 2008
Why is the president of the United States entertaining Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince, Sheik Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at Camp David when his own State Department has singled out the Sheik’s homeland, the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.), for its continuing violations of human rights?

Justice Antonin Scalia: Al Gore to blame for 2000 US election mess
By Toby Harnden
The 2000 presidential election debacle was the fault of Al Gore, who should have followed Richard Nixon's 1960 example and conceded without legal action, according to the Supreme Court's leading conservative judge.
Justice Antonin Scalia"Richard Nixon, when he lost to [John F.] Kennedy thought that the election had been stolen in Chicago, which was very likely true with the system at the time," Justice Antonin Scalia told The Telegraph.
"But he did not even think about bringing a court challenge. That was his prerogative. So you know if you don't like it, don't blame it on me.
"I didn't bring it into the courts. Mr Gore brought it into the courts.

Efforts to rename sewage plant after Bush
A group activists wants to rename one of San Francisco's wastewater treatment facilities the "George W. Bush Sewage Plant."
Members of the Presidential Memorial Commission tell the San Francisco Chronicle that they've already collected 8,500 signatures on a petition to put the proposal before voters this November. If it passes, the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant would be renamed when the new president takes office in January.

New Poll: Abortion Rights Sink McCain
Tue Jun 17, 2008 at 02:28:07 PM PDT
A new Greenberg Quinlan Rosner poll commissioned by NARAL finds that once "balanced information" about Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain's respective positions on abortion are introduced, Obama gains 6 points nationally, with his lead in battleground states expanding from a net 2 points (47% to 45%) to a net 13 points (53% to 40%).
Other key findings: "Despite the fact that the national focus seems to be on the economy, among pro-choice Independent women, pro-choice Republican women, and liberal to moderate Republican women, the issue of abortion produces a larger advantage for Democrats than the economy, the war in Iraq, or health care."

Sen. John Ensign For President
Fri Jun 13, 2008 at 09:00:10 PM PDT
John Ensign has proved his value as head of the NRSC, adjusted for republi-con inflation, Ensign is worth nothing!
Naturally, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is having great fun at the GOP’s expense:
The committee has parodied several of the quixotic candidates on its website on a page titled Rotten Recruits, modeled after the movie review site Rotten Tomatoes.
One of the DSCC’s featured candidates is Christopher Reed, the GOP Senate nominee against Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) who runs a telephone answering business. Five months out from the general election, Reed hasn’t even opened a campaign account yet — a prerequisite for candidates raising or spending more than $5,000. The DSCC website jokes: "Did anyone even know that he was running?"
On his own campaign site, Reed highlights inspirational quotes from Ronald Reagan, George Washington and, yes, former Republican Congressman J.D. Hayworth, an incumbent who was upset in the 2006 election.

McCain Lies, MSM Covers Eyes
Mon Jun 09, 2008 at 10:18:34 AM PDT
Sen. John McCain told Newsweek that he did not deliver a line in his prepared speech last week that criticized the media for not fairly covering Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.
John McCain quoted: "I did not [say that] -- that was in prepared remarks, and I did not [say it] -- I'm not in the business of commenting on the press and their coverage or not coverage."

THEY'RE WORRIED
Sun Jun 08, 2008 at 08:47:32 PM PDT
For four months John McCain had a clear field while Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were at each other's throats. Given the opportunity, the Arizona Senator failed to define the debate in favorable terms, spending much of the valuable primary months defending himself on charges that his campaign staff was top heavy with lobbyists.
